Becoming a member of Friendship Baptist Church is not a formality, but rather a conscious and obedient response to the leadership of the Holy Spirit of God which leads us to be more like our Savior Jesus Christ. We welcome those who come to Friendship Baptist Church and who wish to invest their lives in the work of Jesus Christ through our local congregation.
How to Join our Church
We accept members in the following three manners:
Salvation
You may join our Church by your belief in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then by declaring your personal salvation through the example of the New Testament water baptism, by immersion, which pictures the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Transfer of Letter
You may join our Church by a letter of membership transfer from your previous church of "like faith and order" - which is normally another Baptist doctrine church. Persons from other denominations will want to discuss their desire for membership with the Pastor directly.
Baptism
You may join our Church upon your declaration of having previously received Jesus Christ and your wish to express your faith in the obedience of a New Testament immersion baptism.
At the conclusion of each of our worship services, the Pastor will invite the persons in the congregation to respond to how God may be leading in their life. You may want to know more about Jesus Christ, or how to become a member of our Church. It is at this time that persons should present themselves who are coming to Jesus Christ for personal salvation; to become a member of our Church, or you may want to ask for the Pastor to visit with you. You can contact our Church Office to schedule an appointment with the Pastor, either at the Church, or at your home.
