What We Believe

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the authoritative, inerrant, and infallible revelation of God’s Word (Romans 15:4; II Timothy 3:16;  II Peter 1:21).

We believe there is one living and true God, revealed in the Trinity. The Trinity consists of three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in one God (I Corinthians 8:6).

We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and that God’s remedy for men’s ruin is entirely of grace through one’s personal acceptance of the finished work of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23). Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and died as our representative on the cross. He then was physically resurrected to prove the completeness of His work, providing salvation for all men (John 3:16; I John 4:10)

We believe that a true believer is secure in Christ forever and is called to live a holy life (Ephesians 4:30; I Peter 1:15-16).

We believe that a scriptural church is a visible assembly of baptized believers, covenanted together for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission, and that this church is a self-governing body, having Christ as its Head and the Holy Spirit as its Guide (I Corinthians 4:17; Matthew 28:19-20; Colossians 1:18).

We believe in baptism for believers only and that by immersion, administered by the local church and that the Lord’s Supper is a memorial ordinance for the membership of the local church (Acts 8:36-37; I Corinthians 11:25-26)

We believe in the personal, premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ, prior to the establishment of His kingdom. Those who are believers shall be forever in the presence of God and those that have rejected Christ will be separated from God forever (I Thessalonians 3:13; Colossians 3:4).
