Church-wide picnic – There will be a picnic for all church members and their guests on Saturday, April 25, in Sunnyvale. The covered pavilion is reserved starting at 2:00 p.m. The church will furnish the hamburgers and hot dogs at 4:00 p.m. Everyone is asked to bring chips, dips, drinks, and desserts. You may bring lawn chairs and games. Please sign the list in the foyer if you plan to attend so we know how much to cook.

Weekend with Lisa Harper – Lisa Harper was the speaker in last summer’s women’s Bible study. She will be at Lake Pointe Church on the evening of Friday April 24 and morning of Saturday April 25. Contemporary service – At 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 19 there will be a contemporary worship service in the fellowship hall; this service will feature contemporary music and a less formal atmosphere than the traditional service, which will begin in the sanctuary at 10:50 a.m. as usual. The speaker for the contemporary service will be Bro. Charles Breithaupt.
Guest speakers – On Sunday, April 19, Joanne Vuckovic from the Pregnancy Resource Center will speak briefly in the morning, and Bro. Todd Cox, co-pastor of The Refuge church will speak in the evening service.

Mission trip luncheon – Immediately after the morning worship service on April 12, there will be a fund-raising luncheon; donations will be accepted to benefit the summer 2015 mission trip. The menu will include chicken spaghetti, regular spaghetti, vegetables, bread, and salad.

Pot blessing luncheon – Everyone is invited to bring a covered dish, and come join us for fellowship, food, and fun beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9.

Easter – We will celebrate our Lord Jesus’ resurrection with special Easter music during the morning worship service on April 5. There will be no evening service on this date.

Youth to Mavericks game – The youth will go to a Dallas Mavericks basketball game on Saturday, April 4; they plan to leave the church at 5:00 p.m. For more information on this event, as well as other youth activities, please contact our youth minister, Sean Belknap.
